Summer Fun!

Image
Our season officially finished off with our end-of-the-season banquet, where we come together with the Alpine team to celebrate... and more importantly, eat! We also gave out some awards, chose our captains for next year, and took some classic pics.  2016-2017 Captains: Shelby Ahrendt, Liza Dawley, Leif Hanson & Mitchell Miller 2015-2016 MVPs: Nora Gilbertson and Leif Hanson Matt Haugen Award: Bri Paulson  Banquet!  A beautiful spring rolled in, and us Nordies took to the roads, pools, trails and tracks. Also thanks to the Prokosch family for generously providing us with lodging (14 hours before we arrived) and food (you may want to pick up some more Kodiak Powercake mix). Saturday morning greeted us with cloudy skies and eye-paraly...

Congratulations to all the Academic All-Americans from the Nordic and Alpine Teams. In our new free time we revived an old favorite ski team game: Mafia.  At first things weren’t looking good for the mafia when Molly was killed in the first vote.  But Leif was then able to kill all the rest of us pretty quickly.   After that we joined with the Alpine team to play a game of hug assassins.   Additionally Tuesday afternoons have become game time.  With some nicer weather we’ve been able to play frisbee outside, but have also played some basketball, gone rock climbing, and invented a new game of tennis.  Our intramural this session is outdo...
