Interim has been packed with monotonous days and lots of racing. Last weekend most of the team headed to Telemark, Wisconsin to compete in the first CCSA race of the season! Jake Brown placed 5th in the Men's 15K Skate Race. Jeremy and Stuart competed in the King Boreas and Marine O'Brien races in the cities. We all enjoyed getting out on some good snow and kicking off the race season. This weekend we brought a full crew to the CCSA race at Wirth Park in Minneapolis. Everyone battled tricky conditions with skis full of klister. Some didn't even wear sleeves. Nora Gilbertson placed 12th for the college girls, 14th overall in the 10K classic race on Saturday! Happy 2015! We hope you all had a nice, family-overloaded, culture shocking break. We sure have been busy these past few weeks. We started off our season with the Hoigaard's/Breadsmith Relays at Elm Creek. We entered two men's teams, three women's teams and one mixed team. Hoigaard's gave us an opportunity to practice our spring skiing early in the season - the conditions were slushy and the temperatures were high. Teams: Evan & Jake (3rd place), Mitchell and Leif (21st place), Piper & Amy (6th place), Amelia & Liza (8th place), Stuart & Kristin (10th place), Nora & Shelby (3rd place) Then it was time for the holidays! The women's team sent out a nice holiday card. We had limited funds, so we are sorry if you didn't receive one. We'd be happy to sign one and send it to you for a small donation.
